- Chicken-1kg cut into pieces
- Black pepper- 1/2 tspn
- Turmeric-1/2 tspn
- Salt to taste
- Garlic cloves-10
- Oil-4 tspn
- Curry leaves- 1 stalk
- Tomatoes Chopped
- Coriander seeds powder-1 tbspn
- Onion(medium)-1 Sliced
Procedure to make Chicken Kali Mirchi:
Coarsely grind the pepper corns along with turmeric and salt. Now mix it with the chicken and refrigerate for an hour.
Now heat the oil in a wok and put in the cloves first. After that put in the garlic cloves and then the onion.
Once the onions turn pink in color add the tomatoes. Once after tomatoes start getting roasted, add the coriander powder.
Saute till oil gets seperated from the paste, Now add a cup of water and the curry leaves. Once it starts boiling add the marinated chicken.
Cook covered till the chicken is tender and now, restaurant style Chicken Kali Mirchi is ready to serve hot with rotis.
