Green Chicken recipe: Ingredients
- Chicken – 800 gms
- Onions- 2 medium
- Freshly chopped coriander and mint leaves – 1 Cup
- Ginger garlic Paste- 2 tbspn
- Green chillies- 4
- Celery Sticks – 2
- Lemon juice – 2 tbspn
- Garam masala – 1 tbspn
- Oil – 2 tbspns
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cream
Procedure to make Green chicken recipe:
Grind the Coriander, Celery and Mint leaves along with chopped onions, green chillies and lemon juice to make paste. Heat oil in a Heavy bottomed pan on medium flame for about 2 mins.
Add the green paste and fry on medium flame for about 5 mins or till the paste is a pale green. Add the ginger garlic paste, garam masala and cumin powder. Fry again for few seconds.
Add the chicken and sprinkle salt to taste. Mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for about 30mins or till the chicken is tenderised.
Garnish with fresh cream and finely chopped coriander and now the green chicken is ready to serve.
The green paste can be made from any combination of green leafy vegetables like Spinach, Dill, Fenugreek, Basil, Oregano, Parsely along with fresh Coriander.
